Annie and Chris had a picture perfect September day for their Hoboken wedding! It was so personalized to their lives and included so many little touches that made each moment extra special. The day was filled with love and traditions…. and TONS of dancing with family and friends.
This could be seen in every aspect of their day, from their huge bridal party, to packed the trolley ride to their reception, and especially in the toast given by all four of their parents during one of the few quiet moments later in the evening.
One of my favorite parts of this wedding day was the date, September 21st. Annie and Chris specifically chose this date because of yes, that Earth, Wind & Fire song we all know, September. I loved it!
To make it even more special, their entire day took place where their love blossomed. They had a traditional Catholic ceremony in a stunning church in Hoboken with the most amazing stained glass windows! Annie and Chris even surprised their loved ones with a bagpiper leading them out at the end of the ceremony. All the little touches like these just made the day!
Following the ceremony we took a pit stop for portraits in Hoboken where Annie and Chris lived before moving to London. The warm light that September day shining between leaves and tall buildings was stunning. This spot is extra special to them as they lived directly across the street from each other, so it was only a matter of time before their story together began. Annie and Chris didn’t want to pick just any ordinary venue for their wedding and after searching and planning (and a little unexpected twist) they had their reception at Liberty State Park Railroad Terminal. With the sun setting and the city skyline in the background, you couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening! How amazing to have your wedding in such an iconic space, overlooking the NYC skyline!
Annie and Chris’s wedding was a celebration for the books! They were most excited about having all the people they love in one room all day long (instead of across the ocean) and you could absolutely tell that their families were just as excited as they were. There were festive Greek traditions and hilarious Bruce Springstein inspired shenanigans on the dance floor with their epic band… but really having both their families on the dance floor non-stop was what made it so amazing to witness. The whole night just overflowed with joy!
