Sara and Sean’s engagement shoot at Sandy Hook was perfection. Anytime I can be barefoot in the sand taking pictures of my adorable couples, I am happy!  Sandy Hook was the perfect place for Sara and Sean’s engagement pictures because of all the beachy memories they share nearby. 

The warm breeze and golden light at sunset was absolutely amazing.

Sara and Sean’s love story began when they met before they were even in high school. The summer before freshman year Sean was working as a lifeguard at Sara’s beach club. They knew each other through mutual friends and were super friendly anytime they ran into each other. Fast forward to the summer after Sara graduated from college when Sean was home on leave from the Marine Corps. They ran into each other while out one night and spent some time together while he was home. They kept in touch when Sean went back to North Carolina until he invited Sara to his Marine Corps ball in the fall, and they’ve been together ever since!

These two are truly best friends

They balance each other out perfectly! Sean can bring Sara back to reality when she’s feeling out of sorts, and Sara is everything Sean looked for in a person but never knew he needed. Together they love to do everything from going to the beach, going out and about in Sea Bright, NJ, lounging at home trying new recipes and binge watching new shows, skiing in Vermont, and having dinner date nights.

Sara and Sean’s proposal story is so cute! They were planning to have a special date night dinner out in Asbury Park, NJ. After dinner, Sean told Sara he wanted to meet up with friends for a drink at the Asbury Hotel, but little did Sara know that’s where he planned to pop the question! Upon arrival, there was a band and when they started playing “Dream a Little Dream of Me”, Sean asked Sara to dance. When the song ended, he got down on one knee and proposed! Family and friends were waiting at a nearby restaurant to celebrate. Sara thinks it was the perfect proposal! 

I am so excited for Sara and Sean to tie the knot this summer at Eagle Oaks Country Club! Other than getting to marry each other, they are pumped for the epic dance party that will ensue with all of their family and friends!
